Astra has been in development for a long time and is a versatile software synthesizer capable of reproducing a wide range of unique tones.
When we thought about creating this tool back in 2018, we wanted to provide the widest possible range of functionality – expanding the technical capabilities as much as possible – without making it overwhelming or inimitable. For me, the golden mean with a tool is when the creative process is simplified rather than complicated by too many options or menus.
Ultimately, the speed at which the end user can produce high quality sounds is the most important factor with the Astra; there are no cumbersome preset loading times and slow interface graphics anywhere. Almost all Astra features can be viewed simultaneously in the open interface without having to navigate through complex menus or multiple tabs. The interface can be freely resized by dragging the bottom right corner.
